Visiting Shore Memorial Hospital

General Visitor Information

  • All visitors must check in at the information desk first before visiting a patient. Volunteers at the information desk provide visitors with the patient's room number, directions, and other information.
  • Those who are not feeling well are encouraged not to visit patients. Patients in the hospital are already recovering from illness or injury and should not be exposed to additional illnesses such as the flu.
  • The hospital offers free valet parking for patients and visitors at the main entrance on Brighton Avenue from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Individuals can also have their car waiting for them when they are ready to leave the hospital by calling the valet service ahead of their expected departure time. Shore also provides free shuttle bus service from its parking lots located at the temporary parking lot, corner of Bay Avenue and Harbor Lane, to the Brighton Avenue main entrance. Shuttle bus stops are located throughout the parking lot, but drivers will also pick up or drop off passengers directly next to their cars. Additional parking is located adjacent to the hospital for a nominal fee. Posted parking restrictions are enforced by local police.
  • As part of the hospital's commitment to a healthy environment and lifestyle, the Shore Memorial campus is a smoke free environment. Smoking is prohibited inside any hospital buildings, in all parking areas or on any hospital grounds.
  • Shore Memorial is pleased to offer wireless service to our patients and visitors. This service is available free of charge to those who bring in their personal wireless-enabled laptop computer. Use of this service is entirely at the risk of the user. Prospective users must read and acknowledge our disclaimer displayed on their laptop screen once connected to the guest network.

Spirit of Shore: Caring, helping and always striving to provide the best possible experience.

Shore Memorial's leadership and staff strive to make the patient's experience both memorable and positive. As a friend or family member of a patient, your perspective is very important to us. Suggestions to help us improve your experience as a visitor are always welcomed. Send any comments or suggestions to smhinfo@shorememorial.org.
