Free neck and spine surgery educational sessions take place on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the hospital's physical therapy department. Anyone undergoing or considering neck or spine surgery, along with their caregivers and family members is encouraged to attend at least two weeks before the scheduled procedure.
Shore Memorial physicians and staff members from surgical services, preadmission testing, physical therapy and nursing units share information about spine anatomy, preadmission testing, processes during the day of the surgery, inpatient information, physical therapy and rehabilitation and post-surgical care at home.
If you are considering any neck or spinal procedures and would like to attend an educational session, call 609-653-3512 to register.
