Brighton Avenue will be closing from the Coastal Physician's Property to Bay Avenue beginning Thursday, August 5, 2010 for at least two weeks weather permitting. This closure will take effect from 7 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday while construction is being conducted on the new medical office building and pedestrian bridge. Note, all emergency and law enforcement vehicles will still have access to the Emergency Room along Brighton Avenue from Shore Road.
The main entrance to the hospital is now closed. The new main hospital entrance is located on Brighton Avenue.
Valet Parking: Valet parking for visitors has moved and is now located outside the Emergency Department entrance. Signs are posted. Visitors and vehicles with handicapped permits are encouraged to use the valet parking services between 6 am and 9:30 pm on weekdays, 8 am to 9:30 pm on Saturdays, and 8 am to 7 pm on Sundays. Individuals can also have their car waiting for them when they are ready to leave the hospital by calling the valet service ahead of their expected departure time.
Shuttle Parking: The hospital’s free shuttle parking, located at the corner of Bay Avenue and Harbor Lane, is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Lot-to-door service is provided by shuttles that run regularly.
Please be advised that parking on Brighton Avenue will be restricted to handicapped and ambulance parking only along the Wolfe Building and Cancer Center. The area on Brighton Avenue along the construction site will be a no parking zone for all vehicles.
The physician parking lot is closed. All physicians are asked to park in the new temporary parking lot on Brighton Avenue across from the Emergency Department.
Sunny Avenue is now permanently closed to through traffic from Brighton Avenue to Connecticut Avenue. An additional parking lot, which will extend across Sunny Avenue, is being constructed in this area.
