Hospital Entrance and Visitor Parking

The main entrance to the hospital is now closed. The new main hospital entrance is located on Brighton Avenue. Valet parking for visitors has moved and is now located outside the Emergency Department entrance. Signs are posted. Visitors and vehicles with handicapped permits are encouraged to use the valet parking services between 5:30 am and 9 pm on weekdays, 6 am to 9 pm on Saturdays, and 8 am to 4 pm on Sundays. Individuals can also have their car waiting for them when they are ready to leave the hospital by calling the valet service ahead of their expected departure time.

Shore also provides free shuttle bus service from its parking lots located at the temporary parking lot, corner of Bay Avenue and Harbor Lane, to the Brighton Avenue main entrance. Shuttle bus stops are located throughout the parking lot, but drivers will also pick up or drop off passengers directly next to their cars. Self-parking for visitors is available in the current employee and visitor parking lot on Brighton Avenue. Directional signs are posted.

Please be advised that parking on Brighton Avenue will be restricted to handicapped and ambulance parking only along the Wolfe Building and Cancer Center. The area on Brighton Avenue along the construction site will be a no parking zone for all vehicles.

Parking Update for December 15

Starting on or around December 15th, Brighton Ave. will be closed to through traffic just below the Emergency Department. It is expected that this part of the construction process should take approximately two weeks.

Vehicles entering Brighton Ave. from Shore Rd. can travel to the main entrance, past the Emergency Department entrance and to the physician lot entrance. Vehicles will then be required to turn around at this point and head back up Brighton Ave. to Shore Rd. A turn-around area will be in place allowing vehicles to make the turn without interrupting traffic. Entrance to Brighton Ave. from Bay Ave. will be prohibited during this phase of construction.

Also during this time entrance and exit to and from the Visitors Parking Lot will be from Harbor Lane. A marked walking lane will provide a safe walking path around the construction site for visitors to follow.
