One of the many ways Shore Memorial identifies needs for performance improvement is through onsite surveys by our regulatory accrediting agencies, such as The Joint Commission, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the NJ Department of Health and Senior Services (NJDHSS).

The regulatory agencies make information available to the public via the internet. The purpose of these websites is to help patients find information that will allow them to make informed decisions about the organizations they choose for health care. While these websites are useful tools, they should not be considered the only measure of an organization’s quality or a framework for selecting a hospital. Other equally important factors include past experience with the hospital and recommendations by physician, family and friends.
