Shore Memorial is nationally accredited by The Joint Commission, the nation's predominant standards-setting and accrediting body in healthcare. Joint Commission accreditation and certification is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects a hospital's commitment to meeting defined performance criteria. To earn and maintain The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval™, an organization must undergo an on-site survey by a Joint Commission survey team at least every three years.

Nationally Certified Primary Stroke Center

Shore Memorial earned the The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval™ as a certified Primary Stroke Center in 2005 and was re-accredited in
2007.

Nationally Certified Neurosurgical Spine Program

Shore Memorial is one of only three hospitals in the country to earn the The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval™ for its Lumbar and Cervical Spine Surgery Programs.
