Quality and Performance Improvement

In most industries, quality is determined by craftsmanship, production or function. But healthcare quality is measured by clinical indicators that grade the process of care and an adherence to evidence-based protocols.

Shore Memorial’s goal for quality and performance improvement is to achieve excellence in clinical care as measured by established evidence-based, nationally endorsed clinical indicators and patient safety practices. We aim not to simply meet, but to exceed the standards of care set by federal, state and local agencies.

Our systematic approach toward performance improvement includes the collaborative work of multidisciplinary performance improvement teams made up of physicians, nurses, ancillary support staff, as well as administrative members. We continually measure and assess our performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
