As a preferred healthcare provider in the region, our foremost responsibility is to provide the community with essential, high-quality healthcare services; we are deeply committed to that goal. Shore Memorial Hospital enjoys the privilege of serving thousands of residents and visitors. Just last year we cared for more than 12,000 inpatients, treated over 43,000 emergency department patients, and welcomed nearly 1,500 new babies to the shore.We celebrated several clinical distinctions including the re-accreditation by the Joint Commission as the region’s only Primary Stroke Center; our Cancer Center was given another three-year accreditation with commendation by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons; our laboratory was again accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), and we earned the VHA Leadership Award for Clinical Excellence in Cardiac Care.
