Shore Memorial Honors ER Physician for His Efforts in Haiti

Shore Memorial Honors ER Physician for His Efforts in Haiti

On Monday, February 15, Shore Memorial Hospital held a ceremony to honor emergency room physician Dr. Keith Lafferty, who recently returned from a trip to Haiti where he helped treat victims of the deadly January earthquake.

Lafferty arrived in Haiti on January 16 as part of one of the first medical teams to enter the earthquake zone. He spent a week there treating as many injured men, women and children as he could, often working 24 hour shifts.

Dr. Lafferty has been a physician with Shore Memorial for two years. He lives in Cape May with his wife, Cathy, and three children, Karli 9, Koko, 7, and Kory, 2.
