Ways to Give

Contributions to the Shore Memorial Health Foundation are tax deductible and may offer other favorable tax benefits.

Gifts of Cash

Gifts of cash include check and credit card donations of all sizes. These contributions may be deducted from the donor’s taxes in the year the gift is made.

Sharing Fund

Contribute $1 to $499 to the Shore Memorial Hospital Sharing Fund and receive recognition in our biannual Sharing magazine.

Stainton Society

Contribute $500 to $20,000 to Shore Memorial and become a member of the prestigious Stainton Society.

Commemorative Gifts

Shore Memorial Hospital offers many methods of recognition, including naming opportunities to honor or memorialize a business, family or individual.

Planned Giving

Now you can give and receive. Whether you are an individual, family, business, organization or represent a trust, we will work with you and your financial/legal advisors to structure assets to achieve your philanthropic objectives – supporting Shore Memorial while protecting and optimizing asset value and providing income to benefit you and your family now.

Charitable Trusts

Charitable trusts provide a fixed or variable rate of return to the donor for a specified period of time (Charitable Remainder Trusts); or offer the Foundation income for a designated period of time (Charitable Lead Trust). Both offer significant tax benefits for the donor and family.

Charitable Gift Annuities

Charitable gift annuities provide a fixed income for the life of the donor, spouse or other loved one. Both a gift and an investment, it allows the donor to make an irrevocable gift for which a tax deduction is made. The Foundation invests the gift and provides the donor and up to one other person guaranteed fixed income for life.

Gifts of Life Insurance

Policies listing Shore Memorial as the owner and beneficiary are greatly appreciated. Life insurance policies offer substantial contributions to the Foundation and present tax advantages in estate planning.
